June 2021 - Woodhouse Community Centre is still closed to the public to protect public health.
We are planning to re-open some of our facilites on a limited basis from week commencing 21st June as we deem safe.
However, we are open to interest for future bookings and we are carefully considering what is safe to do in our building.
We are currently taking bookings for support groups, training, exercise classes, and some other planned activities. Apologies but we're not currently considering bookings for parties and gatherings.
Main Oblong office will not be occupied. In person enquiries will be possible on Tuesdays and Thursdays 1000-1500 from 15th June.

We have a number of volunteer opportunities available which are funded by the People's Health Trust and Jimbo's Fund.
Our Wonders of Woohouse project aims to connect people through taking part in shared activities. This could be through environmental activites, such as a litter pick up or some community gardening or it could be sharing food and stories or could be events and actvities that bring people together like our recent community picnic, pop-up playground or the community day we are planning in September.
From September we'll also be running a cafe three times a week in the centre. This will include a Games and Arts Cafe, A Parents and Toddler Cafe and a Coffee and Conversation Club.
If you'd like to get involved then follow the link to our on-line application form.
If you need help filling in the form or would like to have a chat and find out more then please call in to the centre or phone (0113 245 9610) and ask for either Tabitha or Mark
Some of the roles we are looking to recruit for are:
- Reception Volunteers
- Events and Activities Coordinators
- Gardening & the Envoronment Volunteers
- Cafe Coordinators
