Community Events & Fundraising
Role Title: Events & Activities Coordinators
Time commitment: 2 - 7 hours every 2 weeks (flexible according to your free time)
Role description: Developing and delivering events and activities that connect local. Some of the possible events we have identified include an Oblong Social, Community festivals/fairs, Children's activities like Pop-Up Playgrounds, Community Dinners, setting up art or entertainment shows, etc. If you have ideas for events and activities that connect people then we'd like to hear them.
Main tasks: To work with staff and volunteers to deliver an activity / event. To identify resources and expenditure needed to deliver an activity / event. To plan and deliver an activity / event.
Skills description: The main thing we are looking for is enthusiasm to contribute a bit to the local community. Skills that would be useful: Ability to work with others. Ability to plan an event / activity. The ability to manage an activity / event on the day. A general understanding of Health & Safety issues regarding event management.
Benefits from this role/Support given: Gain experience in researching, planning and delivering and event / activity. Working with a wide range of people to help deliver an event / activity. Regular supervision and support is provided.
