Your local community centre

Welcome to Woodhouse Community Centre, your local community resource centre.

Woodhouse Community Centre is run by Oblong. We aim to create empowered, connected communities where people work together to tackle the problems they face.

The Centre and IT suite are open to the public 10-4 Monday to Thursday. We are open at evenings and weekends for booked events. To find out what's on at the centre, visit our 'What's On' page.

Support SEVA Lunch Club

Oblong Woodhouse Community Centre is a busy thriving place in the heart of Woodhouse. Every month, about a thousand people pass through our doors.

Over a hundred people a week eat in our SEVA Community Cafe. Run by volunteers, SEVA is a Hindi word meaning ‘selfless acts of service’. The cafe brings the community together, giving local people an opportunity to sit together and chat and dine on restaurant quality food.

SEVA is run by volunteers, and we are able to offer PWYF and free dinners because of their skills and generosity. But we still somehow need to provide the food itself, and keep the lights on in the building.
