Role Title: Garden Project Coordinator and Assistant 

 

Time commitment: 3 - 7 hours

 

Role description: To work with other volunteers to maintain our lovely garden at Woodhouse Community Centre.

Main tasks: To maintain the garden at Woodhouse Community centre. To support other gardening volunteers by sharing skills and knowledge. To work with Oblong to ensure the Health and Safety of volunteers and visitors to the garden.

 

Skills description: Experience of maintaining a garden / allotment / piece of land. Ability to working with others and develop their skills and understanding. An understanding of basic Health and Safety in the garden.

Any other Requirements: We are looking to recruit disadvantaged adults to this project. Some of the things we would consider when deciding if an applicant is suitable for the project include:

  • Do they have history of ill health or mental ill health?
  • Are they in receipt of benefits?
  • What level of qualifications they have?
  • Are they an asylum seeker?

A recent Data Barring Service check (CRB check) is required. If you do not have one then we will undertake a check.
