A 2-day course for people who want to create real change in their communities and in themselves

 

Saturday 7th March 10am to 4.30pm

Sunday 8th March 10am to 4.30pm

 

Discuss: Your community’s needs and strengths

Learn: How to collaborate, engage and think together

Act: Practice new skills and make a plan for action

 

Our innovative Communities Creating Change course aims to provide local people with the skills, tools and confidence to make a difference in thier community

 

Throughout these sessions we will explore:

- Our hopes, expectations and needs for our communities
- Appreciative Inquiry interviewing
- Running fruitful meetings
- Active listening
- The roles we play in group working and communication
- Use DeBono's thinking hats
- Understand how to map the outline of a project
- Practice project planning
- Understand target setting and evaluation
- Explore external communication skills

 

Free of charge. Please register so we know you're coming. (If you register but fail to turn up, without letting us know in advance, we may need to charge you because the cost of this event is provided by specific funding.)

Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Food will be vegetarian but please let us know if you have other dietary requirements.
